Yeay it’s you my beloved junio
sisters and brothers, the students of Industrial Automation Engineering POLBAN.
Anyway, you might be excited to
get internship program b’cause of boring routines. If I told about the
happiness and sadness while having the internship on the last post “Kisah Kerja
Praktek Teknik Otomasi Industri 2012 Part1-4”. Now, I would like to give you
tips.
Let’s check it out guys!
1. Collect Company INFO
Start to collect info about any
big companies in the first 6th semester. Broaden your knowledge, at
least you know how the company or industry suitable for your background. Don’t
forget to make lots of list, it contacts, and addresses. Ask your senior
experience is the best way to understand how does it works. Here are some
companies that I applied (FESTO, BOSCH Rexroth, Krakatau POSCO, SIEMENS, VISCOS).
2. Discussing with your Parents,
Teachers, Seniors
If you’ve done surfing and
collecting the lists, start to discuss it with your parents whether you could
go another city or not b‘cause parents permit is NUMBER ONE! Then you can
decide easier and cross out the place you couldn’t go.
3. Prepare The Proposal
You’d better prepare proposal
while tips 1&2, you can get the template easier from your seniors. Some of
companies need it while another don’t, so just be prepared.
4. Call the Companies
DO NOT CONFUSING for a long
time! it’s time to disturb many HR..hihi. You know what I mean? Yaps, Call the
companies while preparing the proposal. The best time for calling is around 9am
to 11.30am, but anytime you could call on 1pm to 3pm. BOLD these points: Use Formal Language, well mannered, and be patient.
5. Follow Up
You’ve done all the tips, haven’t
u? Don’t be too happy cause you don’t know whether your proposal is read or not,
instead it was thrown to the dustbin, OMG what a pitty. FOLLOW UP is the
important thing you MUST DO cause we’re not the main thing they would concern
about. They might be lazy to accept us cause we’re disturbing. You’d better
Follow Up TWICE A WEEK.
